Flash CS3… 28 May 2008

Ok – so my movie has over 10,000 frames, got the following whilst trying to trim 2,000 frames from the end – My undo levels are set to the lowest possable value (happens to be 2, no idea why you cant disable them altogether), therefore I was supprised to see out of memory warning… This one is almost as strange (but not quite) as the Dreamweaver “no error occoured” error…

The Opportunity

(A testimonial that endorsed the launching of such a concept.)

“One of the best and most comprehensive rock websites for the UK” – Victory Records “A kick ass site speaking the truth! Genuine articles so if you want an honest answer to your question you come here. Got it? – Zakk Taylor (vocalist of Kid Ego) ‘I’ve read a few articles on your Rockbeast site, its a cool site.’ – Jonny guitarist in Roadstar

‘The Angelic Process love Rockbeast.com, we really appreciate all the great support!’ – K. Angylus from The Angelic Process
 ·         (Outline here, the basis for developing the product/service) Rockbeast was set up to try and help out and promote smaller bands and give them equal prominence on our website as some of the more established acts that we feature on our site. With the addition of photography we also give fans a chance to see what their favourite bands look like onstage as well. We have set a rule where we are not bias with our reviews therefore telling people what the event was like but in affect telling them to go out and experience the band live themselves to make up their own mind. We aim in the future to develop the Rockbeast brand where it will become a recognised name and help further and in more depth the bands we cover. We would like to become a the most recognised and respected publications online and becoming a portal where everyone will come to find out about bands and link off to others to download music with direct links.  ·         (Use any statistical information uncovered in your market research that pointed up/shaped the opportunity). The site was started as a hobby which then took off and in this time we discovered through practical market research going out and covering bands and seeing for ourselves what brought traffic to our site and also talking to people about which bands they would like to see on the website. With this in mind we have tried to cover many events such as Monsters Of Rock heavily featuring older bands to keeping the older of our users interested in the content of the site as well as featuring more modern bands such as HIM, Panic! At The Disco for the younger users on the site as well as competitions.  ·         The opportunity was for the design, content and management of a comprehensive and authoritative site. With us being approached by Web Engineer in Exeter who saw Rockbeast as the perfect opportunity to showcase their skills and use Rockbeast as a website to promote themselves while making a website they fully believed in and enjoyed what they were doing.  Since Web Engineer has played a part in the development of Rockbeast we have become a well managed website with content coming in from all over the country with many contributors and with our advanced article editor we are able to deal with huge amounts of new material. This has made us one of the most comprehensive and authoritative websites in our genre of music. Having covered over 1400 bands with photography we are championed as one of the most in depth websites. ·         Given our resources we believe we have gone as far as we can in making the concept workable. Rockbeast has fast become one of the leading online publications with very little money input and very little advertisement mainly through word of mouth, t-shirts, stickers and fans of the site posting links online. With financial input from outside help we believe we can make Rockbeast one of the top most recognised websites.   ·         We now want to develop our product by first sharing the opportunity with substantial brands and/or emerging products or services that would benefit from advertising and/or sponsorship of ROCKBEAST. We want to co brand ourselves with other companies who are associated with music, we have tried to steer clear of having multiples amounts of banners or pop ups which have no relevance to what were ourselves are offering.

Meet The Stars Section 11 January 2006

I did a little test run today where i sent out a couple of bulletins about sending in pics of people with famous rockstars and within 30 mins i had 15 replies all of which can be seen at http://photobucket.com/albums/e365/meetthestars/ i know that wont be acceptable for the website but im storing them there so you can see the progress im making. So far i have quite a few from around the country including London, Birmingham and Download 2005 and even one as far afield as Canada right now.. I think it would be a very good edition to the site as it would make peole turn round and go ‘look here, thats me with so and so’ ideas please..
