God it's been ages! I've moved house (well flat) from one upstairs
masonette to another! Fun when you have four bikes! Glad it's all
over now. Just got to tidy it all up.
Snakes move routine V2 has been completed. Just ironing out the
kinks now. Got a slight issue with eating snakes before their
fully grown but that's the last one I know of (fingers crossed)
I've allowed up to 60 snakes. Might up this a bit but I challange
anyone to survive with that many in the maze! Especially when
the evil heads are flying about.
Broken the title screen for the moment – but should be easy enough
to sort it out.
Getting near to sound fx time!
Steve's original started each level with the snakes in place and fully
frown. I'm going to grow them as I think it's more fun and allows
dynamic snake configurations giving me the possibility for
procedurally generated levels at some point.
More possible ideas that I might have a go at:
1) Make the eggs vibrate before they hatch
2) Make the snakes bulge when the eat the player. Got the gfx for this.
Ideas I knocked out:
1) Snakes eat each other and change length – this changes the game
dynamic too much from the original.
2) Player score gets lower when snakes eat fruit – same reason as above.
