Started on the hellish snake factory logic this morning! It's going to
be fun!!!
Boo what a dissapointing England Vs USA match!
I've got Cufon working with a Pixfont version of the HyperViper font!
Switched all my headings too it and used a bit more C64 colours!
Replaced the RND routine with a new one because it was repeatable.
Got a basic snake growing but realised that to grow snakes, I need
a horrible wind-back mechanism whereby if the snake grows into a
dead end, it can be replayed back in time to the previous junction
and try *other* turns. If they all also lead to dead ends, we
reverse further back to previous junction and try again until
we successfully accomodate its defined length! I've got a basic
_JUNC array setup that holds data about locations and attempted
directions for the last 8 junctions the snake has turned at.
ARGH! It's making me brain melt… this should only be a concern
during level setup as once play begins, I dont *think* the snakes
will be able to get totally stuck. Whatever they find their way
into, they should be able to reverse back out of. But who knows!
